Solid Waste Disposal Rates

 The Angel Fire Collection Center is a small municipal solid waste facility;  it is NOT a landfill.  We are limited as to the type and amount of material we can accept. 

Resolution 2008-61

Household Trash:

·   Angel Fire property owners and businesses are assessed a monthly fee for solid waste disposal of household trash.

·   This fee is calculated to cover the disposal cost to the Village of Angel Fire for daily household trash, i.e. trash that fits into an ordinary garbage bag.

·   Household trash may be brought to the Transfer Station or placed in one of the dumpsters located throughout the Village for this purpose.

·   Dumpsters should be used in the following way:

o        Only household trash secured in garbage bags can be placed in the dumpster (not on top or to the side of the dumpster).

o        Make sure the lid is closed and latched, otherwise you are littering!

Refrigeration units of all types: $40 each

Appliances other than refrigeration units: $10 each

Car and truck tires: $2 to $8 depending on size.  Heavy equipment tires $10 to $15 depending on size.

Construction Debris, furniture, mattresses, auto parts, large bulky items, vegetation mixed with stumps, logs 12” or greater in diameter, dirt or rocks: $10 per cubic yard

Clean Slash:

·   $3 per cubic yard for residents who live outside the Village limits.

·   Property owners who live within the Village limits may dispose of clean slash without a charge for the purpose of reducing fire hazards within the Village limits.

·   Lot clearing for new construction does not qualify for no-charge disposal.  (See Slash Program Overview.)

Hazardous materials are not accepted.  Liquids of any type are not accepted.
